Job Summary 

As a Marketing Coordinator you will  coordinate all the marketing activities and initiatives of an organization. This position is responsible for conducting  market research, carrying out promotional campaigns, identifying target audiences and evaluating current trends.

Essential Functions 

Marketing Operations 

  • Coordinate with Marketing Managers to launch campaigns 
  • Coordinate with external and partner ad operations teams to deliver assets 
  • Facilitate the content marketing program on AJE Scholar
  • ClickUp calendar/project management and coordination
  • Preparing reports and materials for presentations 
  • Ensure a high level of organization in Google Drive and Frontify

Campaign and Project Support

  • Assist in the creation of emails and collateral
  • Build emails in our Marketing CRM
  • Create content for AJE Scholar and Research Square Blog 
  • Calendar management and coordination
  • Social Media for employer brand 

Internal and Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate any printing needs and maintain an inventory of branded assets 
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports on behalf of the marketing team 
  • Coordinate marketing calendars across the marketing team, internal stakeholders, and partners
  • Manage internal tools for Digital Asset Management (Frontify) and Project Management (ClickUp)
  • Maintain process information and communication across teams
  • Work with Data Analysts to maintain reporting mechanisms in DOMO 
  • This position may perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. 


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience  


  • 2-6 years of marketing or project management experience
  • Must have capacity to solicit input, resolve conflicting inputs and make appropriate business decisions
  • Attention to detail and ability to respond quickly
  • Familiarity with tools that will be used on the job: Google Apps, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, ClickUp, Unbounce, Trello, Heap
  • Able to take ownership of multiple projects and make them successful. This requires superior time management and organization skills.
  • Able to communicate - both written and verbal - with customers as well as upwardly and across internal groups to push marketing efforts forward.
  • Willing to embrace the startup environment, where structure is fluid and priorities may shift.  We expect the scope of this job to change as we continue to grow, and need new hires who are open to new challenges.
  • Familiar with our space in one way or another. We are a web-based, services company with a mostly international customer base, and you should be able to relate to that.  Exposure to scientific, publishing or academic markets will definitely be a big help. 
  • Ecommerce experience is a must.

Work Environment  

  • Relocation is not required as this position can be remote based.  
  • This is a US based role.
